Mike Neho, the Tumu Whakarae of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi had a grandeur ambition to create a centre of excellence for indigenous innovation to provide a launching pad for their own rangatahi, aspiring Maaori-preneurs and pakihi iti to reach their potential in early 2020. Three years later, the doors of He Kaakano are open and here to make a difference across generations. JIX played a pivotal role as Innovation Partners in the set up of the hub.Through our comprehensive feasibility study and strategic consulting, we transformed ideas into action, creating an inclusive space that propels educational advancement, economic growth, and social cohesion. By facilitating partnerships with like minded organisations , we built the foundations for a thriving innovation ecosystem in Whanganui. Our technology input and futuristic space design expertise helped create an inspiring and forward-thinking atmosphere that inspires creativity. It’s been an absolute privilege to be part of this kaupapa.
